The economy is still a human activity

Hello Project HOPE friends, I hope you are doing great. Today I want to bring you a topic that I find super interesting and that will surely make you think. It has to do with the economy, but not from the technical side, but from something that we sometimes forget: the economy is still a human activity, and for this reason, many of the decisions made are loaded with emotions.

Think about it: behind every movement in the market, there are people making decisions. Some do it in a super calculated way, of course, but in most cases emotions play an important role. From fear to greed, these emotions shape market behavior. For example, how many times have we seen the prices of something go up just because people are afraid that it will run out or because they believe that "now is the time to invest"?

A case that you surely know is that of financial bubbles. Those times when everyone starts buying something because it seems like it's the best deal of a lifetime, and then when prices drop, everyone panics and collapses. What moves that? Emotions, simple and clear. Greed at the beginning, fear at the end.

Even in more everyday things, like deciding whether to spend or save, there are feelings involved. Fear of a crisis can make us save every penny, while optimism encourages us to spend or invest. And of course, when we multiply this by millions of people, that is where we see how human emotions end up shaping the entire economy.

Anyway, I think it is important to remember that, although we see graphs and numbers, the economy is not something separate from us. It is a direct reflection of our decisions and our emotions. So, the next time you see news about the market going up or down, ask yourself: what are the people behind all of this feeling?

At the end of the day, we are human, and that is reflected in everything we do, including how the market moves. What do you think? Do you believe that emotions have more weight than we think?

emotion is the thing that drives the market. Just imagine, only AI robots do trading and there is no human in the trading field then what will happen? If someone is losing money in trading then on the other side someone else is also earning. Solid read thanks...

You really made me think that economics is still a human activity that is very complex to understand.

I actually always tell people. Whether we like it or not, you are part of the economy of your country
