No to violence

There is no reason to believe that violence is a righteous path. Without leaning to the right, the left or any middle ground that combines extremes, it is undeniable that no child should lose his or her life because he or she is part of an ideology or considered a social discard.

Indifference, in any context, fuels inanity. Even if we do not carry weapons or act cruelly, if we remain indifferent to the suffering of others, we can become victims, either directly or indirectly, affecting those we consider close to us, such as friends or family.

The pain of indifference is profound. While we celebrate life, there are children dying of hunger, diseases that could be treated, or victims of the madness of those who think they are powerful.

I am not here to defend political or territorial positions; my message is a call to stop abuse, to stop war and hatred. Throughout history, we have left a trail of dead children who could have been messengers of love and peace. The death of a child represents the loss of a future for humanity.

If that death were to affect our own children, we would grieve even more. This message is a call to empathy, to share the pain of others. As Jesus said, let him who is without blame cast the first stone.

This axiom reminds us that violence arises from hatred and that no one is exempt from being part of this dynamic. We are all guilty, and in my case, I recognise my own indifference to the terror facing much of humanity today, all because of a foolish desire to feel superior to one another.
