I confess
Source
I confess that on many occasions, the urge to give up is overwhelming, even more than my own heart and hope.
It is not easy to come back from those dark moments, nor to silence those thoughts that seem to scream in my mind.
At times, the pain in my chest becomes so intense that I struggle to even breathe.
However, in those moments of despair, I stop and, for some inexplicable reason, I find a way to keep going.
I manage to calm my breathing, allow the tears to flow and, little by little, I begin to get back on my feet.
I believe it all comes down to faith, a strength that surpasses hope and optimism. Faith drives me on, to believe that there is something better waiting for me at the end of the road.
I dust myself off, put my best smile on my face and feed on those small gestures of love and faith that surround me.
Those moments of self-love, where I recognize and value myself, and the love I feel for others, which reminds me that I am not alone in this struggle.
Every day is a new opportunity to find the light in the midst of the darkness.
Sometimes it is the little things that make the difference: a kind word, a sincere hug or a shared smile.
Those details fill me with energy and motivate me to keep going. Thus, little by little, I am building my path, remembering that, although the desire to give up is great, faith and love are even more powerful.
No matter what we might be facing, we should not give up. It might not be easy but it is not impossible
