Limiting toxic thoughts that delays progress.
Thoughts are very active in the progress of life, beyond the space of planning and working, our reasoning still has a long way to affect our progress. Some thoughts are actually really toxic and if these toxic thoughts are not controlled properly, they will get to ruin our lives and delay our progress.
Through this post, I will be highlighting some of the toxic thoughts that we have that drags us down on several occasions and most likely keeps us limited from achieving what we should achieve.
The fear of doing what others have done.
Everyday millions of people wake up with bright ideas but go back to bed filled with the fear of getting the task accomplished. The truth is, even if you have a fresh idea you are going to get a competitor sooner or later, it is best to act when you are sure about an idea because the fear of competition will keep you stagnant for a longer time than you think it should.
Waiting for connections before making a move.
It is true that the world we live in is revolved around whom you know and whom you can connect with to help you but you do not need to wait for that connection before you get going, before the connection comes you must be able to start doing something, it is through the actions that you take that the connection you need will find you.
Always think you cannot do it well enough.
The negative thought of always thinking that we can never do it up to some others, we allow our mind revolve around not being up to perform to task and feeling really imperfect about what we do. The sense of self-confidence helps us achieve better and knowing that if someone could do it well then we can do it also.
Taking short term pleasure over long term achievement.
It is very easy for us to procrastinate and it is even funny to find that people already see it as a habit and they are proud to publicly declare it, achievers try all they can to curb the habit of procrastination as they get their heart together towards the process and goal of success.
Being content with a low position.
Just because we want to feel alright we decide to stay okay with the level that we are at the moment but there is nothing wrong with desiring more than we have at the moment and the moment we desire more, we definitely move towards achieving more.
I agree that we are a complete reflection of the way our thoughts are, paying proper attention to our thoughts and mind is of a very serious importance.
