When creating a market research, you should first identify and define the problem you want to solve in the market with the market research. The problem should not be limited to one, as there can be many problems that your product, service, or business would be solving. While creating the market research, you should be able to identify the objectives of the research. You should have a budget you are working on. You should be willing to improve on whatever data is collected from the public, which will be your target market.

Launching a new business without being successful in the market means a complete loss for the business owner and for as many investors in the business. You cannot afford to make any error while trying to know the market and work towards it. In the process of identifying your market, it is important to take note of the trend in the market, either new or old. Being able to identify the market trend, market niche, and segment will help to save time, money, and efforts from burning in a twinkle of an eye.

You should understand that while you are trying to understand how to penetrate the market, market research covers how to create a good customer support for your customers as well. The aim of Market research is to identify and understand the mind of the customers, identify characteristics that make them similar to one another, and understand how and where to create a business with little risk and much success.

In this age, Market research plays a key role in determining whether a business will be successful or not. It is very easy now to even conduct this research as social media has made it easier to reach a lot of people with little resources and time involved

I think you are correct that research is a very important part of starting a business. On the other hand, I would say that actually starting is the key element :)
