The theme for this week’s Weekly Writing Challenge is…

My Favorite Meal

This week's challenge is something really simple, so I invite you to participate in it, and with this invitation we get into it.

My Favorite Meal.

Venezuela is a land where many cultures converge, that is why it is often called as a multicultural state, this is also evident in the variety of exquisite dishes that we Venezuelans taste (Today with many limitations to enjoy them) but there is always one that stands out at our table for different reasons.

My favorite food is HALLACA, not only for its taste but for what it represents for the whole family, what happens around the preparation of this delicious dish is pure "magic", every year families from Venezuela gather to prepare HALLACAS together It does not matter if the family is distant each year we meet to plan, prepare and taste the HALLACAS.

"The Hallaca is a typical Venezuelan wrapped dish. It consists of a dough of corn flour seasoned with chicken or chicken broth and colored with onoto or achiote, filled with a stew of beef, pork and chicken or hen, to which are added olives, raisins, capers, paprika and onion, wrapped rectangularly in banana or bijao leaves, to be finally tied with wick or pita and boiled in water. "

The reasons why I choose the HALLACA are multiple besides the "Magic" that happens around its preparation as I said at the beginning, another reason why I choose it as my favorite food is because of the time we live and the black cloud that hovers over humanity today.

Venezuela is experiencing a prolonged period of a crisis that we do not know when it will end, and that with the arrival of the pandemic many think that it will become more acute.

I am optimistic, I have faith that when all this ends for my country, the HALLACA, its elaboration and tasting at everyone's tables and particularly at that of my family, will return with more meaning and a more emotional charge than that of other times.

Invitation to the challenge.

I invite you to be part of this and other challenges that are being organized weekly at Steemit and Steem Blockchain, Steem's success is my success, your success, our success.

One of the Venezuelan delicacies, and I already want it to be December in order to enjoy this delicious traditional dish.

Sure brother, we all like to enjoy the Hallaca, from the preparation until it is on the plate.

HALLACAS
Every New Year's Eve, Venezuelans are always busy making Hallaca, a dish similar to Latin American-style content. Is that right, buddy?

Hello @project.hope, I just wanted to participate in the @steemitblog challenge and I thought that the community where the publication was uploaded didn't matter.

If you think it is necessary to silence it, you can do it, but I think that one warning is enough and it will not happen again.

So in the next challenges I can't publish in Project HOPE?

What a beautiful recipe, I will try to join the contest and share a nice Nigerian recipe.

Sure, you can do it, it would be nice if many joined this kind of challenge.

Thank you for taking part in the Steem Diary Challenge.

Keep following @steemitblog for new challenges every week.
