Undoubtedly the behaviors you point out are a way to keep happiness away, those habits, especially comparing and belittling oneself are very bad for self-esteem, which ends up negatively influencing our mental health and happiness.

Yeah, a lot of people have low self esteem and they discourage themselves every time, they are about to achieve something good. They say things like, this guy is too cute for me, we would leave me soon, I'm don't have big ass, my boobs are too small, I'm not as intelligent as her, I'm won't be able to get this good and so on.
