Adult bullying

in Project HOPE3 years ago

The mistreatment of people of any kind is not permissible, whether physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual, in recent years it has been shown how the Bulling that a child or young person receives for a certain time can cause serious complications not only mental health but also organic. To a certain extent it could be discussed when it is children or adolescents who perform this type of derogatory procedure with a peer, the amazing thing is that there are the so-called official disqualifiers.

In recent years, several reports from multiple human rights organizations have revealed that trolling, a practice that involves attacking a person with offensive comments on the Internet, is a growing phenomenon. With freedom of expression, people consider themselves free of sin when it comes to publishing their opinions and under the protection of this rather weak concept, they insult, denigrate and offend, in addition to freedom of expression, there is the right to honor, to personal and family privacy and to a respectable self-image. Not every opinion is an insult, it may simply be that the person thinks the opposite of what has been published, what is unacceptable and not because it is between adults is less harmful, are the offenses to dignity and even threats that occur regularly.

Reflecting on the subject, people who bully, intimidate, mock or pretend to change or do something that another person does not want, is not frowned upon and that is the seriousness of our societies, they are not repudiated sometimes they are even applauded What do these people who resort to these means generally in networks and anonymous, have in common? They are insecure people. With insecurities greater than those of others, because we all have insecurities, but instead of channeling it in a healthy way, they believe they have the power, the grace of the word and also believe they know everything and more than others. The vast majority of people who observe these micro attacks or passive aggressiveness do not see it as an attack, they see it as something natural, as related to the sense of humor and there is the detail, we get used to the abnormal becomes normal.

In a society where the crowd is praised for feeling or believing themselves to be adult, empathetic, sensitive, healthy, optimistic, if you go out of the norm and do not enter into its design and with subtle jokes or off-color or gratuitous attacks, they are also acts of bullying, it is normal to make a comment or be critical, but critical in a healthy and helpful way, not always believe with the power the last word.

I think the definition of abuse should be broadened so that it can become more encompassing. Lots of people are being abused on a daily; even the introduction of the social media has made matters worst. Sometimes, I try to stay of social media, because it is becoming too toxic and abusive. Everyone should figure out what works best for them and protect themselves at all cost. Nice post @aplausos.

I agree with you, respect for opinions, for the way of acting and for the decisions of others make the difference, not judging, being self-critical is a basis for solid and lasting social relationships, thanks for your contribution to my publication that enriches it, greetings and success.

Its very alarming how people normalize bullying as some sort of humor, in society today bullying are done in disguise means sometimes only the oppressed would feel dejected while others around may view it as fun, social media on the contrary, has been a forum for adults to bully each other with their toxic view which may seem to them as way of having fun we should at cost avoid such behavioral attitude and embrace to appreciate people little effort through encouragement thanks for sharing a nice read.

If I agree with you, the insult, the abuse and the outrage has been normalized, ethics has lost validity as a rule of coexistence, thanks for your contribution to the publication, greetings and success.

Your welcome!

Hi @aplausos
Often we see bullying as something associated with school and colleges but it is very much part of adult lives as well and can be very damaging to a persons health an peace of mind.
Trolling should be made a punishable offense and should result in immediate ban of social media accounts.

I agree with you completely. adults, especially the weakest in character, can even have depressive episodes, greetings and thank you for your contribution to the publication.

Bullying is everywhere and takes many forms. it's so complicated that sometimes you're not aware that you're bullying someone.

It certainly depends on how sensitive the person is even to jokes, thanks for commenting.
