I was reading something yesterday and I read where someone talked about a high income skill. I was wondering, is there anything like a high income skill and the answer came as yes. Years back, being a typist was a very high income skill as they were one of the most important and relevant in the business world. There was no need going to school then to learn about it, what was needed was the skill and people were paid real well. So, what skills is needed in the next 10 years to set a person as a high income earner?

Be a Salesperson

Sales is one thing that cannot go into extinction anytime soon, as every person need to sell an idea and every company need to sell a product or service. Most times, sales men are being paid on commissions based on how well they can make sales. In other to be a salesperson, you need to make your customers trust you and give them what they want/need so you keep selling to them.

Trading

This has been a skill that hasn’t gone dead for about a decade. A lot of people traded forex for a while and now, people are trading cryptocurrency. You see, looking at the chart and being about to predict the next movement of a currency or commodity is a skill you do not need a college degree for, what is needed is time, commitment, understanding the pattern, a few other people’s knowledge and consistency.

Digital Marketing

Nobody goes from house to house selling advertising that product that you will probably not buy, now people use the internet and the internet has made it easier to affect customer choices on what they pick, all you just need is understand how to do digital marketing. Companies are willing to pay people to hl them get customers and marketers are aimed with the objective of getting potential buyers to a product. The ability to market a product digitally means you get commission for getting potential customers when they buy the goods.

Content Creation

Either you are a writer or a vlogger, it is visible that in the last few years content creators have been considered very important. In other for people to buy your thought, you need to keep them engaged and be able to satisfy their needs. There are a lot of content creators who write and vlog for people and earn well. Content creation could go as fa as writing speeches, long business plans, scripts and videos and many more.

Developer

I have seen a lot of people who never studied computer science in school but have been able to write codes and create applications for companies. Developers are in high demand currently from frontend developers to back end developers, they are wanted continually now. Being a developer is a jackpot for the next 20 years.

Everything doesn’t have to be black and white where if going to school and getting a collar job isn’t involved then there will be no means to survive, currently the world is shifting from the norms to people getting skills that will make them valuable.
