Editorial marketing: a key to your success.

Dear Hivers

I am always amazed to see that marketing experts are talking more and more about content marketing and storytelling, but that, at the same time, brands and entrepreneurs are struggling to integrate these concepts and above all do not really know where start, nor how to go about it.

However, the materials are there, under their noses. And, with a little (good) will, method and tenacity it is possible to get started very quickly.
The lessons I offer you here are as follows.

5 lessons from content marketing applied to SMEs

Regardless of the size of the business, content is essential. The same rules apply in all cases. Content is vital for business growth: if customers don't know what you are doing, or how or why you are doing it, there is little chance they will come to you.

Everything is contained: the people, the experiences, the passions. It's not just your products and services that are worth explaining. Don't overlook the human aspect of any business relationship. Get the people who work with you or buy your products talking. If someone else says your service is great, it's much more effective than saying it yourself. Be enthusiastic.

Your passion will be contagious.
Everyone has stories to tell . Whether it's logging equipment or chemicals, every business has a history. Think about what your business brings. How is your activity useful, exciting, innovative? What do you bring and how do you improve the daily life of customers? There is no miracle content. Above all, there is a good knowledge of client needs, work and perseverance.

Without web content, you don't exist. Consumers expect to find all the information they need on the Internet. And if they already know your business, they hope to find something new and answers to their questions.

Take care of your site. It is the heart of your online presence, it is towards it that the people you meet in the real world (at trade shows, conferences or prospecting) or virtual world (on social networks or forums) converge.
Plan an editorial calendar to publish regularly and efficiently . There is no room for amateurism. Be strategic and consistent. Analyze and understand what is important to your readers (Google Analytics gives you that visibility - I'll get to that). Talk about what interests them. Listen to them, they are your best source of inspiration. Have a strategy . Know why you are creating this or that content.
