AT&T an international telecommunications company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, United States (US) will immediately cease its company's operations effectively in Venezuela.

According to a press statement from AT&T, sanctions from the US government against Venezuela have banned Globovision broadcasts and PSUV channels from providing pay TV services in Venezuela.
Because AT&T DIRECTV is not possible to comply with the legal requirements of the two countries [the US and Venezuela], AT&T was forced to close down its pay-TV operations in Venezuela. This decision was made by the US central team without the involvement or prior knowledge of Venezuela's DIRECTV.
