The diary game | Better life| 22nd january 2022 I went tubing!

Tubing the nile became a thing sometime last year. I have been wanting to do it and to my advantage, one of my friends ventured into the business and so he hyped me into it. I talked my sister into it and we set an appointment for today. We left kampala in the morning because our appointment was for the afternoon. We reached jinja early and so we decided to go to jinja nile resort for lunch as we waited for my friend who does the tubing.

After a while my friend arrived with his team and the tubes. He called me and we met them just outside jinja nile resort. My friend's company is called Tubing Masters Uganda. If any of you ever want to do tubing please support my friend. He charges ugx 50,000 for flat water tubing and ugx 100,000 for white water tubing. White water has very many rapids and tubing it is more or less like rafting. We did flat water. Each one had to carry their tube down to the river.
At the river we were given instructions by the guides before getting on the tubes, you know, safety first. Then we were helped with tightening our life jackets and we were set!

We were a large group and so we were seperated into two teams. My team had 7 tubes and the tubes are tied to a kayak boat. The guide rows the boat and the boat pulls the tubes.

The water this afternoon has been so calm. There were no big waves. The big waves make the experience more fun but for us it was more like just chilling on the water, enjoying the ride and the music. Meanwhile you can go with your eats and drinks and enjoy as you chill in the water.

One is allowed to get off the tube for a swim. The water is really deep though so you have to be a good swimmer. For us who can't swim, you'd have to keep your life jacket on. I didn't want to get in the water but my friend literally threw me in there 🙄

Ended up loving being there, i stayed there for a long while

The place where we get out from the river is called nile river explorers in bujagali, where the famous water slide is found. Most of us were going to do the slide. I wanted to do it, but i kept hesitating so i dropped the whole thing but it was so much fun watching others doing it! It is definitely something i will go back and do some time.

Next thing was changing clothes, freshening up and heading back home. My sister wanted us to go hang out but my lazy self wasn't having it 🙃 I seriously want to sleep 😴
