1\6 ....... The jounery commenced.
Hello 👋
As tourism students, we always have study trips that we organise. We planed to take a trip to the northern part of Uganda. This is how our journey started.
We are a total of 130 students and used 3 buses. In the beginning a committee was made and they had to buy food stuff and water that we had to take for the trip.
With all the excitement we arrived at school at 6am as we were instructed to do but we set off at 10:45am due to poor communication to our drivers. Nevertheless, we set off! Well of course music was booming in the buses, smiles started arasing and my friends and i started anticipating about the trip.
We had a stop over after 2 hours of the journey at a place called Namawojolo. Here people bought themselves roasted chicken and bananas plus some drinks. I didn't buy anything..........i am not into buying road side meat because of the many stories i hear about that particular area. I am not sure if the stories are real or its just a myth.....
We headed straight the rock painting ..... I marveled at the unique paintings that early man left. These paintings all have hidden meanings .
In the picture below that painting can also be found on currency the 1000 Shilling note
Yes........because we left school really late.. we reached our destination very late and we were not able to capture pictures most of the paintings because it was really dark. Hopefully one day I will go there and see the paintings myself in broad daylight. We headed to accommodation Center and prepared ourselves for the next day.
Next stop .. Soroti.
