I hope we all had a lovely day.
I woke up today ready and determined to do some serious revision, which I did. i then took the kids to school and came back home. The only thing on my mind today was we had fellowship that was airing from 19:00hrs to 21;00hrs. I love to learn more about God and how I can grow more in my relationship with him.
Fortunately today the sermon title was Walking with God and reference was given to the book of Jeremiah 10:23(KJV)
“O lord, I know that the way of man is not in him self, it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps."
Apostle Grace mentioned a very powerful statement, he said, It was not given to man to know where the next step. Every decision you make is by some spirit, either the holy spirit or satan
-He further mentioned that there is an eleventh commandment that was added that thou doest what thou willest. To mean that the devil has deceived people to a point where they can do anything they want and as such , certain liberties have been introduced which are not acceptable.
Some men of old, in the Old Testament like Elijah and Enoch knew how to walk with God. The bible says about Enoch that he walked with God and he was no more .Elijah was just carried into the cloud and taken. Meaning, these men had a certain knowledge in God that enabled them not to see death in their physical bodies.
An important aspect he also hinted on was on assignments, to walk with God is to walk according to your assignment Reference was given to the book of Revelation 22:19KJV
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city, and (from)the things which are written in this book. Meaning, if one does not walk according to their assignment, it shall be taken away from them.
He added that it is important to take personal responsibility for the things that God shows us. It is one thing to have a vision of God, and it is another for you to ponder about it, to get a deeper meaning out of it.
My take away in all this is to have a relationship with the holy spirit to walk with God efficiently.
