Musala in Rila mountain - Bulgaria

These are my photos of Musala peak in Rila mountain (Bulgaria).The Musala peak /2925 m/ in the Rila Mountain is the highest one not only on the Balkan Peninsula but also in the South East Europe. Here are the Musalenski lakes that are very beautiful. The seven lakes are located stepped around the highest peak in the Rila Mountains and predispose to stunning landscape pictures. The name Musala, according to some interpretations, means Road to Allah, or a place near God. Another interpretation is “Dominating”. Both reflect the peak’s height and imposing stature.Musala is comprised from Paleozoic granite. Alpine vegetation covers its slopes. The diversity of flora is rich, varied with some fascinating tree species.
