In the risk group or just a number?
They say that the older you get, the greater the risk - but age is just a number. So if you are as old as you feel, shouldn't that affect your level of risk? I feel pretty old and the number on Steem indicates I am older than I seem.
It has taken 3 years and a little over two months to go from the starting 25 to 80 and though irrelevant due to the brokenness of the metric, it is still somewhat of an achievement. Since I have no idea what sites show the rankings anymore, from memory there are only about 15 accounts with a reputation above 80.
So, while it is meaningless to just about everything that matters, it is an accomplishment that not many have managed, and with the many of the oldest and highest rep accounts powering down, it is unlikely that many will ever make it to 80 in the future.
Reputation should matter in a community of course, but it shouldn't be based on how many votes one gets or weighting of those votes - at least not alone. Probably, hundreds of factors need to be combined or perhaps, there should be multiple reputation numbers - after all, in the real world people have good and bad reputations - and we all likely know people who are brilliant in one area, but ridiculously poor in another - technically adept and socially inept - or vice versa.
Having one metric to cover all factors is unlikely to ever be sensitive enough to come close to telling the true reputation of someone, and then there is the fact that social reputation is applied by individuals. And as I have mentioned before, 1/3 of people will like you, 1/3 won't care, 1/3 will dislike you. Depending on who you happen to ask, the reputation is going to be influenced by preference.
Like me, hate me, don't care either way - it is all the same. Live by the judgments of others, die by the judgments of others - best not to worry too much about reputation.

Woah!!! Isn't that amazing? When I got into the 60s, the speed of increase has been very slow. :)
Each level is 1.5x harder to get than the last, so it slows down rapidly. It is also affected by the reputation of other voters too, with higher rep accounts making more impact. It is a long process. Weirdly and I have no idea how, I went from 25 to 63 or 64 in the first two or three weeks here - no idea how though as I definitely wasn't earning much on the posts.
I see... maybe your posts were voted by people with high reputation, but the percentage of vote is low thusblow earnings? I don't know, too... It's interestIng how everything works, though. :) Thanks!
Life consists of a series of constant small achievements. Reputation 80 is an unattainable achievement for most. Congratulation!!!
Cheers, it is a bit of a bitter sweet feeling :D
Congratulations!
It is a very impressive achievement!
Three plus years!
That’s 38 moons as We say in Steemit!
That’s a long time and a lot of dedication.
You deserve congratulations.
Hopefully theirs a Steemit Board Medsl for reaching 80!
Not sure - but if there is, it is "was" - as @arcange has shut down steemitboard =)
Oh. Sorry to hear that. One last medal for the road would have been nice. But that is the way of things here now.
Congratulations!

Congatulation for your 80 position. It is not easy anyway, but I am aiming at 100 and above.
Congrats!
Congratulations, @tarazkp.
I'm one of those who still believes the rep rank has merit for those who have actually earned it, so I'm calling it a grand accomplishment. :)
i highly value my rep cause it shows me how hard i work to earn it. I used no bid bots and wrote a lot!
