RE: Shots of the Moon, Thoughts on Depression (with a side of #SteemTron)
I love your photos and I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with depression. It is an insidious monster to have to contend with. I hope you're doing better and if you ever need to reach out to someone. Let me know. I've always been a good listener.

Ditto that!
All winter I've been battling a crushing sense of futility and what Churchill called The Black Dog, a term I don't like because black dogs (and black cats even more so) already suffer a bad rap and the lowest adoption rates at shelters. But it does make a great metaphor! I totally identify with this: when things start looking up that's when the Black Dog started barking the loudest.

When my depression hits, my brain feels like it's sleeping under a weighted blanket, and my thoughts are like quicksilver - disappearing almost as fast as they come.
Your photos are fantastic - have you seen @owasco's icy photos? - and your ability to articulate your thoughts is unimpaired by this "Black Dog" crouching like a weighted blanket over your brain.
Thank you for this!
