Castlevania Symphony of the night fue lanzado en el año 1997, además de su estilo clásico y vintage este videojuego fue un importante hito en las series de castlevania, convirtiéndose en un gran videojuego de la saga de castlevania, revolucionó mucho el mundo de los videojuegos de rol por su gran historia y toda la acción que conllevaba este videojuego, además de que teníamos muchos elementos RPG dentro del videojuego ya que toda la acción y calidad de personajes fue verdaderamente buena, además de los jefes y enemigos en cada mapa hacían de este videojuego una aventura oscura y entretenida en donde podíamos disfrutar de muchas horas de juegos y además teníamos una estética clásica que estaba logrando triunfar en una época en donde los juegos evolucionaban finalmente a un nuevo formato, y en donde otros grandes títulos estaban a punto de hacer su gran debut, otro aspecto interesante en el juego fue el diseño de los enemigos y todos los aspectos relevantes que estaban dentro del juego.

La jugabilidad dentro de Castlevania Symphony of the night era bastante buena y muy didáctica ya que teníamos diferentes modos de juego y también con la posibilidad de aprender nuevas habilidades para nuestro personaje, el cual era el famoso vampiro alucard, con el que podíamos desatar grandes cadenas de combos y podíamos crear caos en el campo de batalla o la zona en donde tendríamos enfrentamientos directos con todos los jefes del videojuego o los enemigos que encontráramos en el mapa, además de que la exploración que podemos efectuar dentro del castillo ya que es el lugar en donde transcurre el videojuego es uno de los aspectos más interesantes del videojuego, además de que la forma de ganar experiencia y aprender nuevas habilidades lo hace un videojuego con un progreso que poco a poco va creciendo, por lo que las horas de juego se hacen provechosa a la vez que divertida, algo que pocos videojuegos pueden lograr verdaderamente, algo que también es interesante ya que podemos pasar por la misma zona para mejorar nuestras habilidades aún más, el argumento del videojuego también es algo interesante ya que la historia logra envolvernos en la historia central del juego en sí, por lo que cada vez el suspenso en el juego va creciendo a medida de que el progreso a nivel de historia crece.

Dentro del videojuego tenemos grandes personajes como maría renard, Richter Belmont, el conde Drácula, shaff el sacerdote, el barquero, el maestro bibliotecario, súcubo en incluso la muerte misma hace presencia dentro del videojuego siendo esta la mano derecha del conde Drácula, y el diseño de cada personaje que hace acto de presencia en el videojuego tenemos grandes criaturas infernales y espectros de otros mundos que nos estarán acechando por todo el castillo a la espera del momento perfecto para atacar a alucard, el cual es el hijo del conde Drácula, este videojuego tiene muchos jefes memorables y que son bastantes grotescos de ver y esto junto a la excelente banda sonora que tiene el videojuego hacen de cada secuencia una total obra de arte audiovisual para el jugador, ya que tenemos grandes secuencias de acción y jefes épicos que siempre harán temblar al jugador en todo momento y que lo mantendrán siempre atento a los sucesos que ocurran dentro del videojuego, sinceramente Castlevania Symphony of the night es un videojuego que he disfrutado bastante y que especialmente fue lanzado también para la consola de Ps1, y ha sido portado para diferentes plataformas actualmente como, ps4 o pc como emulación en algunos casos, este videojuego ha obtenido muchas buenas puntuaciones y críticas en su mayoría favorables en los sitios gaming más importante, incluso ha sido tomado como referencia o ejemplo para algunos videojuegos o como cultura de los videojuegos de rpg, e incluso como muchos dicen un antepasado de sagas actuales como lo podrían ser la exitosa saga dark souls, Castlevania Symphony of the night es un videojuego muy memorable y que ha formado parte de la infancia de bastantes jugadores y ha dejado grandes momentos para recordar a la extensa comunidad del gaming.
