I'm hoping to get in contact with someone from the new chain team & convince them that instead of forking out the "ninja-mined" stake, we should instead transfer it into a few different places:
A little to boost the initial supply of the proposal system
set some aside for prizes for a dapp hackathon to help spur along our ecosystem in the early days
put some into a DAO specifically used for marketing, where talented people can pitch their videos, ads, banners, and promotions that they use to market Hive

Sounds like they may have progressed beyond that point, they probably have all that in place now? Hopefully, regardless, they'll have SOME funding for devs and marketers. Steem-mutt was really strangling progress in marketing especially.
