Awesome getting a behind the scenes glimpse into the actual growing, harvesting and drying! Looks an ace coffee too. I like the fact you put so much effort into souring your stuff, top notch man!

Thank you so much, it was an amazing experiencing touring plantations in Brazil and this year I hope to visit Indonesia along with the Speciality Coffee Association event in Poland. But the coffee market is behind the scenes in turmoil, while in the UK and for many developed countries it seems like coffee shops and suppliers are expanding at an incredible rate - the actual growers of coffee are struggling so hard - I attended a talk with World Coffee Research a few weeks back a body created to support growers and sustainable development - and it was made quite clear that demand for coffee exceeds the physical supply by 20% year on year. And at the current rate unless something is done to increase supply within 5 years their will not be enough coffee to meet the market demands. Part of this problem is what they call grey farms - where the plantation owners are near retirement but their offspring are moving from rural areas to cities - because they see coffee growing as underpaid compared to what they can earn in cities.
