Bears in a hollow sculpture
You've have probably seen my bear in the hollow already but not this one. I managed to find 2 bears
Started out looking like this...a 10 inch diameter cedar cookie at 4 inches thick with a few pencil marks.
Cedar dries very fast so I let it do it's thing beside the woodstove for a couple weeks.
Filled some gaps before carving with homemade shims and gorilla glue.
a few cuts later we have it blocked out...
Chainsaw only at this point.
Using the dremel, details start to emerge.
Until complete...ready for the burn and sand stage.
This one went so fast, I did get any footage of the burn...apologies for skipping it.
After paint..on the windowsill catching the sunrise. A great time and place to take pictures of smaller pieces.
Closeup...
And a buttshot...
These little carvings are a sure sale if I need the money. I've had a Facebook business page for 10 years now and have built a large following.

Hoping to do that here as well. So far so good.
I hope you enjoy seeing what I "saw"
