Is Busy.org finally dead? I can't log in (or view any content)
So, I've been using Busy for the past couple years. I mean, they did pay me.
They've always had little problems which I didn't mind. The main domain busy.org was not letting me log in, so I started using the 'beta' edition staging.busy.org for my day-to-day. Now none of them let me log in, and both are super broken.
Does anybody know the devs and is up to date with the situation? Steempeak has been taking its market, and Steemit is also developing really fast, while Busy doesn't seem to have been keeping up to pace.
@busy.pay still has a massive 520k delegation and its vote is still considerably heavy.
The fact that the delegations haven't been removed points toward temporary, but it could also be due to a lack of communication. The Busy team does have a full year without speaking.
On the other hand, there have been recent updates on the Github project. It's not like they simply ran away one year ago.
The last activity by anyone on the Busy team on Github's issue tracker was 7 days ago, when developer Sekhmet basically stopped trying to fix a bug and de-attached an issue he had proposed to tackle.
So they're there, but there's no voice or any announcements that I've seen.
There are still people using the Busy tag. Would they use it if they didn't use the interface? What would be the purpose? I asked them, and am waiting for their replies. Maybe they can log in, maybe my IP is banned 😂 😂
Do you have any information on the matter?
If so, please share any relevant insight.
I really love posting from there.
- They allow more tags than Steempeak (12 instead of 10)
- They upvote my posts (yay)
- Images are saved to IPFS automatically (who doesn't like an InterPlanetary File System?)
- And it's a 4-letter name (quick to type, hard to get confused and write something else!)

@barmbo is apparently still able to access Busy. Wonder what's happening.
I loved busy, their front end looks good on iPad. It's easy to understand. But I switched to steempeak these past several months. And on iPad, I use beta.steemit.com (surprisingly smooth experiences). Yeah, I switched because I thought they're no longer active. We don't hear any update from their account. Bummer.
So sad. And yeah, it's the best looking one out there. Sad to see it go when it was the one I loved the most. :P

It works for me. Although the pay is considerably low (I guess for the price), and occasionally has errors with notifications and when seeing the recent replies. But it does work.
I use it to post only hahaha. It's not like you lose anything for just posting from there. It takes a couple more seconds and it gives 0.121 in a vote. Seems reasonable. And it seems to work now.

Still using it every day for a post, and this morning did as usual and all was fine (via staging). But right now seems to be some problems to connect, yes. But it happens time to time... so lets wait a bit

I have a feeling were some probs with steemconnect actually....
Why do you have that feeling? I think that the problem is with their client-side cache database, or the cookies. But it could also be a Steemconnect authentication problem as you say.
I noticed that as well, but don't bother anymore. Steemleo is a good alternative and even eSteem.
Doesn't eSteem keep like 20% of your earnings? It was like that before, I blacklisted them in my brain as soon as they came out and were promoting that kind of system.
Do you know any other platform that also votes for you when you post? Busy did like 0.121 per vote per post.
It's 3% now but they don't upvote that often anymore. At least not my posts.
Sad. I personally think that Steempeak is quite comfy. I use it whenever I'm not using Busy. If I knew of a platform that would vote on my posts, I'd use that one instead. Meanwhile, though, I think Steempeak is enough.
If you know of such a platform, do let me know.
Unfortunately I don't. Never used steempeak. I only use steemit and esteem now.
I read a bit. Apparently SteemLeo is mostly for content related to investment, and they do upvote but only investment-related posts. And eSteem is a mobile app. I don't use Steem on mobile much. Only ever use my phone for personal stuff like communication, playing games and to light up my path with the flash torch.

Ah. I still used it because I managed to "fix" it by using the staging version. But now since the staging version is also down, there's no way left for me to try.
