RE: FRIDAY 13TH, MARCH 2020

What are the three most valuable resources you have available to you right now?

Looking at the reality of the situation as I see it.

1. 2017 Flue deaths quick search on google worldwide total:

Flu Kills 646,000 People Worldwide Each Year: Studywww.medicinenet.com › script › main › art
Seasonal flu kills 291,000 to 646,000 people worldwide each year, according to a new estimate that's higher than the previous one of 250,000 to 500,000 deaths a year. The new figures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other groups were published Dec. 13 in The Lancet medical journal.

2. number of worldwide coronavirus deaths

Global coronavirus death toll tops 5,000 - New York Postnypost.com › 2020/03/13 › global-coronavirus-death-toll-tops-5000
5 hours ago - The global death toll of the coronavirus pandemic has jumped to 5,043, according to a tally by Agence France-Presse based on official sources.

3. Common sense, take precautions, but really no need to panic. I am in the high risk category for odds on dying from the coronavirus, I have had lung cancer, have had part of a lung removed, and have copd and scarring on my remaining lungs from cases of pneumonia. Precautions taken, no dining out since the beginning of the outbreak, not hospital visits for normal follow-up health scans, shopping once a week verse three or four times a week, After getting back in the car from shopping using rubbing alcohol to wipe my hands down.

In 2017 did people run around like chickens with their heads cut-off?

  • Problem: Governments losing control of the people
  • Reaction: Scare the crap out of them
  • Solution: We the government are here to save the day.

4. Standard Flu Season:

1982-1983 through 2017-2018. When is the flu season in the United States? In the United States, flu season occurs in the fall and winter. While influenza viruses circulate year-round, most of the time flu activity peaks between December and February, but activity can last as late as May.

Were you a smoker?

I am in a high risk group also, as the treatment I have for my stomach issues reduces my immune response enormously. I can't even get the treatment if I have a normal flu. Oh well! :D

Yes I was a smoker, right up to the departure day to go to the hospital. The best thing I ever found for stomach issues was the Grolsh beer with the pop tops, the charcoal flavor or aging process or something when just sipped on over a two hour period did wonders on decreasing stomach nausea from IBS and seemed to help settle the acids. I tried a lot of other beers but that was the only one that worked, and it is not easy to get up here anymore.

The president here just had a news thing and talked a lot about the Corona Virus, I still think it is mostly bull. People keep throwing Italy in the mix now because of all the deaths, I do not buy it because if you look at it the virus is not acting like a real virus, Containment efforts did not start until the first deaths, people kept going on about their everyday lives in Italy, that would include travel to other towns and cities and provinces, yet over 90% of the deaths in Italy are in one province. That does not to me seem to be a normal viral outbreak. Clustering of deaths in mobile societies makes one wonder about how it is really spread.

!ENGAGE 25

I quit about 10 years ago after about 12 years a smoker. Glad I did, though I sometimes still feel like one with a cup of coffee. Rarely though.

I can't drink beer really, it all is bad for me :)

I don't know enough about the spread of viruses to comment, but so far at least, it hasn't been worth the panic. Which is a good thing.
