Trip #2 Through Macro World in Santa Justa Sierra | Portugal

In this second article in which i share one more photographic record in a macro dimension of the fauna and flora that we can find in the Valongo sierra, i find myself pointing the lens towards some species of exotic plants and end up noticing some insects that rest on the its petals and there remain motionless to catch sunlight or to do something else that will not be noticeable to our eyes due to its reduced scale.
In the small streams where the water runs along the mountain, it is normal to form several layers of a kind of aquatic moss that was identified by my daughter as the famous slime, and it was in the middle of this green paste that we saw something moving and in a sudden movement he put his head on the surface to say hello to us, showing little fear of our presence, and thankfully it was possible to take the camera out of the backpack in time to photograph this little frog before diving again and then disappearing in the middle of the vegetation.
It is indeed impressive the amount and variety of vegetation and animal life that we can find when we choose a more detailed and approximate record.

My introductory thoughts about macro photography:

It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.

Before moving onto the result...

Feel free to check some of the previous macro photography sessions:

Here i present a short visual tutorial of the technique used in these previous series:

Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.

But in this new trip through a macro world i opted for use a 70-300mm lens with a macro 180-300mm definition

Let's now move onto the result:
