RE: 76 million HIVE not being dropped on Steem/Hive accounts

in OCD5 years ago

Fortunately, the people on that list all get to keep their Steem and so does Justin. They got exactly what they wished for. I also hope Steemchiller comes around and makes a decent proposal, perhaps a little more diplomatic than his most recent post.

I think it's the people who were supporting Steemit for the money that are doomed (record of greedy actions / selfvoting beforehand). I've seen a few of them claim it was a mistake. :|

Sort:

Differing opinions but I'm siding with the approach taken, especially with the olive branch available.

I don't think it would of been so bad just to exclude the original soft forked accounts and poloniex, but what's done is done.

Yeah, I'm the same.
I decided to put the forked out people into 4 categories:

  1. Intentionally voted for sockpuppets, dislike Hive, won't ask/won't get anyway. Hopefully, they don't cause drama, will likely be downvoted if even use Hive.
  2. Intentionally voted for sockpuppets because of Indological concerns, may eventually use hive, could ask for airdrop after some time, especially if encouraged, cases are unique.
  3. Mistakenly voted for sockpuppets/proxy due to carelessness or whatever, will probably use hive, may ask for airdrop, may not care about this either.
  4. Changed their mind, just want the hive, not gonna let silly things like dignity get in the way of greed, will definitely ask, probably complaining about the proposal fee already.
