Kokui Nut Tree the diary game 12-16-2020
Kokui Nut Tree
This tree is very popular, but rare. It has pretty flowers and large green, which turn brown nuts.
Kokui Nut Oil is good for the skin
These are filled with Kokui nut oil, which Hawaiians rub on their skin and hair. It is not oily and is rapidly absorbed into the skin to make shiny, smooth and soft.
Kokui Nut Oil as a fuel
It is also used in torches, as it burns without black smoke.
I found this at the Botanical Garden in East Honolulu, out past Sandy Beach in an area known as Queens Gate, between Waimanalo and Hawaii Kai.
Furry Cactus
I also found this unusual furry cactus, it’s 8 feet tall and was thicker then my lower leg. An amazing looking plant..
These cacti really love this hit and dry climate near the ocean.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures, remember life is a journey, nit a destination, don’t forget to enjoy the scenery!
