ACHIEVEMENT 1 || THIS IS MY INTRODUCTION POST || BY @young-ancient

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone, I'm so delighted to be part of this wonderful family.

I am grateful for the privilege given to me to use this chance to improve myself and learn as much as I can. As I take this step, I look forward to making the best out of this opportunity. I am happy to be part of #steemit.

BACKGROUND/PROFILE

My name is Edith Doosughun Inienger. I'm a native of Tiv from Mbagba council ward, Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria.

I was born on the 22nd day of June, 2001. I'm the second child in the family of 4 children that consist of 2 males and 2 females.

I was born and raised in Makurdi, Benue State. I still reside in Makurdi with my parents, two younger siblings and cousins. I have lived in Benue State my whole life,Makurdi to be precise.

I am the second child and the first daughter in my family. I was born thirteen (13) years after the birth of my elder brother who is also a father to me because he is way older than me and I am a Christian.

Growing up as a little girl in a family with high standards and expectations from the children made me virtually scared of everything about life. Since I couldn't meet up with everything expected of me as the first daughter, I went through alot at home under my mother's care. I seriously hated her at some point for her manner of child discipline e.g the flogging, insults, yelling, shouting my name, strict restrictions and so on but at the end I appreciate. For I have come to realize that what people say about "all things works together for our own good" is actually true. If not for my mother's strict discipline, I wouldn't have been the Edith, I am today so I Thank God.

My goal in life is to shine like a candle in the dark, becoming a beacon of hope and light to every child/adult out there despite whatever situation we find ourselves. Like my name,EDITH which means RICH OFFER, ROYALTY, I want to be the richest offer and gift from God to my family, society, State,Country and the world at large. Revealing to people that God is alive and He is with us hence the name, "EMMANUEL".

EDUCATION

I attended Nawu nursery school, then I later got admitted into Benue State University Staff School all in Makurdi,Benue State. In primary five(5), my parents asked me to write common entrance exams into secondary school. I wrote common entrance exams into two secondary schools.

Hopefully I got admitted on trial into one of the schools named Jewel Model Schools, Makurdi,Benue State. I started from Jss1 to Ss3 and I graduated in the year,2018 in July.

I never had a good history back then in my "O" level. I was never serious with my studies. I was more concerned about watching movies and playing around. While registering for WAEC and NECO, my Dad told me that if I fail my external exams then my whole schooling will end there. So frightened by what my Dad told me, I started reading my books,preparing for exams. Luckily I passed my NECO with credits and i passed out of secondary school successfully.

Currently I am a 300Level undergraduate student studying LAW(LL.B) at Benue State University, Makurdi. In the University after my first year, I was appointed as the clerk of Law Students' Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) High Court BSU CHAPTER. I started working for the LAWSAN High Court upon entering 200Level. After a while, I also became the Acting Registrar of the LAWSAN High Court. This has given me the first hand experience of the activities of the Courtroom and also in identifying legal documents too.

I normally go to the Court or Judges Chambers after my lectures so I don't overwork myself in school.My journey in the university so far haven't been easy but I won't give up on myself because I still have a long way to go and I believe in myself.

HOBBIES

Well, I love reading, watching movies, gisting and writing. About writing, as a pupil back then, I spent my holidays mostly writing short stories or plays and drawing images to fit into my stories.

Most times I remove images from my primary school textbooks to pose them as my characters so I can make a story out of it. My Dad disliked the fact that I was destroying my books meant for my younger ones.

With time, I was carried away by watching movies and the fact of becoming an adolescent. I honestly want to revive my writing ability and I know I would be able to achieve that on this platform.

HOW I HAPPENED TO KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT

I got to know about steemit from my friend, Joyce Hundu Doofan. She added me to steemitalive group on a WhatsApp. I observed the activities on the group on WhatsApp for awhile and I asked her what the platform was about and she told me.

She explained that #steemit.

It is a community that houses people with different capacities in writing creative pieces. It's has a reward system which is operated based on transparent terms and everyone is welcomed on the platform.

CONCLUSION

I'm overwhelmed to know about #steemit and I'm ready for the journey that I'm rightly about to start with #steemit.
