"Achievement 3 by @yhudy Task : Content Etiquette"
Introduction
Hello fellow steemians. Hope we're all doing great. I'm glad that I am finally making my achievement 3 post today. It'been a smooth and fine journey all along. Now I can do this post confidently, after my achievement2 post was verified by @wilmer1988.What can users post on Steemit?
I believe users can post anything intellectual, healthy, educational, entertaining, motivating and even fictional in some cases. In general, users can post anything based on the terms and conditions of the steemit platform. This is a blockchain blogging site. This means it is also a social networking site in which users from all-over the globe come together to create or curate contents. By this, it means people should be very conscious of the kinds of posts they make here. Posts are public and can be of use to people, directly or indirectly. The steemit platform also brings in connectivity by connecting people of different race, religion tribe, culture, age m, class, etc., making it even more fun to inyeract with them.Proof of brain concept
This concept is simply the making of posts from our understanding. It gives us the freewill to think of a topic, and address it from our point of view. By so doing, we're practically making a "proof" that the message we try to convey is from our "brain", thus the concept. An advantage of this is that it helps us think, and do some research to boost our knowledge box. Sometimes we may need to quoye a popular saying, or cite people to give more information on a toipc. This shows that we're being honest and not stealing a person's work. Why do we, as steemit users, need to cite our sources.
First, it's a sign if maturity and acknowledgement. We have to attribute a person's work to the owner. What is plagiarism?
Taking a person's work without citing the source is known as plagiarism. Plagiarism isn't encouraged anyway. There are available markdown styling guide to help us cite sources in our posts. There are professional ways here on steemit. These rules should be applied according for a good result. Copying out a whole link and pasting it to refer people to the source might not look professional enough, so we bring in something like this: [image source](your link should be posted here)...and that is it.
Example:
"Do your best and let God do the rest."
-Ben Carson
I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
I'm inviting @coolj2, @spanky-dollar and @anthony002 to do their achievement 3 post.
