ACHIEVEMENT 3 BY @VOKEY TASK CONTENT ETIQUETTE

Good day to you all in the steemit community. Hope you all have been good?. With the little time I've spent on this platform, I've come to understand that the steemit community just like an organization has its dos and don'ts, what should be done and what is a gross misconduct as it has to do with the organisation.
Steemit as a platform, holds strong the "PROOF OF BRAIN" concept.

WHAT IS THE PROOF OF BRAIN CONCEPT?
"PROOF OF BRAIN"concept could be defined as the combination of the rewards pool and voting system. This simply involves the wisdom of those on the platform to reward the value of a content and award it with tokens.

Steemit as a community is a strong advocate for originality and is against copy/paste of images, contents etc and that is where the term PLAGIARISM comes into play.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism could be defined as the process of using a person's work and pretending that it is yours. It also involves the use of a person's idea without reference. It could also be defined as the use of a writers exact words or quotations without reference or quotation marks. It is also the use of theory or concept without reference. Steemit has a community to checkmate defaulters by the name "MOSQUITO SQUISHERS".

HOW TO REFERENCE WORKS ON STEEMIT.
A lot of works by different writers and authors are online and we at a point in time see them and love some of them. We may need the whole idea or just a few points so as to hit the nail on the head in creating our own content. But by doing so, we must not forget to cite the source we are getting our ideas from. Citing as it refers to an author or a book, could be defined as the act of quoting or the support as an example and giving credit.
This involves the use of the > for markup and the ("")for conventional quotes.

Example of the markup citation;

"Grains are important sources of many nutrients, including fiber, B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and folate) and minerals (iron, magnesium and selenium). People who eat whole grains as part of a healthy diet have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases" Source

"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"
