Hola a todos, estimados lectores y colegas de Steemit. Mi nombre es Víctor J. Patiño C., también conocido como: “El Flaco”, “Vitanga”, “Victorino” y en algunos lugares en muy pocas instancias: “Don Bachata”; aunque quizá ese último me lo esté inventando. Y soy solo otro joven venezolano que por razones económicas o mejor dicho: por razones políticas, tuvo que dejar los estudios y buscarse una forma de generar ingresos para sustentarse y ayudar en lo que pueda a su familia.

Hello everyone, dear readers and colleagues of Steemit. My name is Víctor J. Patiño C., also known as: “El Flaco”, “Vitanga”, “Victorino” and in some places in very few instances: “Don Bachata”; although maybe that last one I am making it up. And I am just another young Venezuelan who, for economic reasons or rather: for political reasons, had to drop out of school and find a way to generate income to support himself and help his family as much as possible.

Antes de volcarme al mundo de los trabajos autónomos estaba estudiando comunicación social en la Universidad Católica Santa Rosa (UCSAR) he iba a especializarme en la mención de audiovisuales para dedicarme profesionalmente al entretenimiento, principalmente como editor. Lamentablemente y como dije al principio tuve que dejar, momentáneamente espero, los estudios debido a la difícil situación que se vive en este país la cual se agravó (aún más si cabe) estrepitosamente cuando nos sorprendió la pandemia del Covid-19.

Before turning to the world of freelance work, I was studying social communication at the Santa Rosa Catholic University (UCSAR) and I was going to specialize in the mention of audiovisuals to dedicate myself professionally to entertainment, mainly as an editor. Unfortunately, and as I said at the beginning, I had to leave, momentarily I hope, my studies due to the difficult situation in this country, which worsened (even more if possible) when the Covid-19 pandemic surprised us.

A estas alturas probablemente notaron que soy un persona a la que le gusta entretener. Mi pasión más ferviente es la de crear cosas que despierten en las demás personas alguna sensación (alegría, amor, pena, miedo…) y que de cierta forma les quede algo de mí. Siendo así, se me juntaron el hambre y las ganas de comer, como dicen aquí en Venezuela. Cuando varios miembros de mi familia (@marivic10, @melor9 y @pablojdiaz) me hablaron de una plataforma en la que podías ganar dinero escribiendo llamada Steemit… ¡Me puse a investigar de inmediato! Y después de hacerlo exhaustivamente decidí redactar este primer artículo para que me conozcan un poco más, y si así lo desean, darme su apoyo.

By now you probably noticed that I am a person who likes to entertain. My most fervent passion is to create things that awaken in other people some feeling (joy, love, sorrow, fear...) and that in a way they have something left of me. That being the case, I was joined by hunger and the desire to eat, as they say here in Venezuela. When several members of my family (@marivic10, @melor9, and @pablojdiaz) told me about a platform where you could earn money writing called Steemit… I immediately started investigating! And after doing it exhaustively I decided to write this first article so that you know me a little more, and if you wish, give me your support.

Mi objetivo en esta plataforma es saciar un poco mis necesidades creativas a través de la escritura y a poder ser generar algunos ingresos producto de ese desahogo creativo. Así que planeo usar Steemit como un blog personal en el que ustedes, mis apreciados lectores, podrán leer cuentos, poemas y anécdotas que no he compartido públicamente, artículos de opinión, todo tipo de datos que considero curiosos y tal vez me sume a algunas tendencias y challenges de Steemit.

My goal on this platform is to satisfy my creative needs a bit through writing and, if possible, to generate some income from that creative outlet. So I plan to use Steemit as a personal blog in which you, my valued readers, will be able to read stories, poems, and anecdotes that I have not shared publicly, opinion articles, all kinds of data that I consider curious and perhaps I will join some trends and challenges of Steemit.
