Jackfruit
The scientific name of the jackfruit is Artocarpus heterophyllus (also known as Jackfruit). [6] Jackfruit trees are well suited to the tropical lowlands and are widely cultivated in the tropics of the world. It is the largest fruit of all trees and weighs 55 kg (120 lb), is 90 cm (35 in) long and 50 cm (20 in) in diameter. [
Jackfruit is commonly used in South and Southeast Asian cuisines. [6] [8] Both ripe and unripe fruits are eaten. Jackfruit is the national fruit of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and Kerala of India is also the state fruit of Tamil Nadu . [9] Like many other products derived from noodles and chips , it is also found internationally in canned or frozen and cold foods. [10] [11] It is a kind of lush summer fruit. It is officially designated as the national fruit of Bangladesh . Jackfruit trees are found all over Bangladesh. Raw jackfruit is called enchor .[12] Jackfruit wood is popular for making furniture. Jackfruit leaves are the favorite food of various animals. The outer part of this relatively large fruit is thick and thorny, while the inner part is surrounded by a number of juicy koas. The large seed of jackfruit is located inside the choir. [13]
