What is Plagiarism?
The word Plagiarism is related to stealing, to use a word to describe it more 'copy' would suit it more.
According to the University of Oxford
This means that Plagiarism is copying someone's works or idea as your own, without giving credit to the original owner or author."Plagiarism is presenting someone's work or ideas as your ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your words without full acknowledgement." In some countries, plagiarism is seen as a serious crime, anyone who practices this is either punished, penalized or in some cases, can go to prison for it. To avoid plagiarism you have to cite, to give credit to the original author for every text, image, video or idea used in your work.

There are many forms and types of plagiarism, but we will look into the most common types Source
Global Plagiarism
Global plagiarismis presenting an entire text written by someone as your own without adding an idea of your own.
Verbatim Plagiarism
Verbatim plagiarism is copying exactly someone's words, and putting in your work without giving attributes to the original author.
Paraphrasing Plagiarism
Paraphrasing plagiarism is rephrasing or pinning someone's text, or work, to present them as your own.
Mosaic Plagiarism
Mosaic plagiarism is the copying of texts and ideas from different to generate your text without attributions.
Self Plagiarism
Self plagiarism is when you reuse your previous work and recycle it and present it as a brand-new work.
How to Avoid Plagiarism
• Track the sources you refer to in your research when writing your text or work.
• Paraphrase and quote your sources.
• Always credit the original author by citing your sources and in your reference list.
• Before submitting, use a plagiarism checker to check your work.Source
