THE DIARY GAME: 1St August 2020 - Harvesting Cassava For Sales
Greetings to you all Dear Diarists!, I am very excited to play my first game as I am a Newcomer in steem. Thanks to @oppongk who recruited me to play the game and to connect to many steemians around the world.
This is how my diary game began today; when I woke up, I had to clean my teeth and make sure that some little house hold chores are done. Following this, I had to prune all the canopy of our tree in front of my house which are likely to attract predators such as snakes. I used about 15mins to do this work.
After I had done with prunning the tree, I had to do little butcher work, I had to slaughter a chicken and cut them into pieces for the women, as you know women are not able to do some job. I used few minutes to complete this job.
When I finished the butcher work, the family gathered to go to the farm, we had a big task to accomplish before 12 noon, that's uprooting of cassava for sales at market. The farm is located at one place called Kwagyei. Since the place is very far, we had to take a car to reach there early. We picked taxi, and soon we got there. But we had to walk from the main road to the farm about 20mins walk. The men to uproot the cassava were very few. So I was supported by my Mom, when I was uprooting them, while my Sister's were also conveying the cassava to the road side. We were able to complete the whole work within 3hrs time. When we finished, we called our tricycle rider to come and convey them to the our house for us.
When we came back home, we had to prepare our evening supper. It is now the chicken that I prepared is coming to be used. It was exactly 3 o'clock. The ladies quickly set the fire steamed the meat and soon prepared the soup. It was left with "the fufu" this is prepared with cassava and plantain or cocoyam. The ladies again prepared boiled the cassava and cocoyam. Soon it finished boiled where by I helped in the pounding.
Well, it was eating time. Our style of eating is so lovely, as we eat in groups , this help to inculcate love and passion for each other. We all put our hands together, cracking jokes, making fans till we finished eating.

The most beautiful thing I have read today is in your post, about the good habit of eating together as a family, that is very important to keep in mind.
By the way, cassava is named "Yuca" in my country, Venezuela.

Thanks for your quick reaction....hahahaaaa...! That was my thought since in Ghana here when it comes to such things women aren't used to, but it isn't general everywhere like what you said. It's indeed funny for being said that. By the way, thanks a lot for loving our style of eating together, as this is one habit that ensures unity among us. Eating together on one plate!!. Woow...thats very interesting. Yes, it's a good thing to use in building love amongst yourselves. As for me, I would first observe whether everyone has washed their hands thoroughly before considering to eat with any one of them in one plate.
