Hi everyone! My name is Umer Ahmed but I go by Teakay online. I am 20 years old and I'm from the melting pot of cultures that is Karachi, Pakistan. Yes, it's hectic, but I love this city nonetheless. I am a Computer Science student at FAST University.

I will say studying is more of a part time thing for me, I am a full time obnoxious yet sassy goofball. In addition to that, I am of course highly intelligent. Did I mention I'm a bit of a narcissist? A loveable one though (I hope). Just don't tell anyone I can't tell right from left.

In my free time I practice my guitar and play Zelda and Pokémon. Or that's what I plan to do and then just scroll Youtube and Reddit till suddenly the whole day has gone by... Relatable, amirite? I dabble in the occasional fishing trip as I live by the beach. And one can't simply say no to a quick dip in the waves while at the beach, people. I also like to just hanging out and being loud with my buddies. Some would say a bit too loud, but is there even such a thing as "too loud"?

Speaking of buddies, I was introduced to Steemit by my tall, handsome and incredibly awkward friend @zaid311 Am I a pain in his backside the whole day? Maybe, but he still hangs out with me so I'd say my charming personality keeps him from ditching me (literally in some ditch somewhere). Or he's just stuck with me as the only person he knows from school in our university classes. Either way, he was generous enough to help me with setting up Steemit. So I am incredibly grateful to him. But of course I won't show him that. He knows I am like this, and he doesn't mind (probably).

What I Want to Read and Write About

I am interested in reading about, and would like to post in communities around, culture, technology and progressivism. And who knows, I might even make a blog about some of my fishing trips. Or trips around my wacky city. I have no clue how steemit works, though. So I will need all the help I can get.

My Experience with Crypto

I'm that person who knows a bit about crypto from when it first blew up but didn't give it much thought afterwards. Other than when the big coins make the news. But now I am seeing the use of crypto in different, more creative forms and how the Blockchain is more than just a "get rich quick" scheme.
