ACHIEVEMENT 3 - @steffany29 TASK: CONTENT ETIQUETTE
Hello and Good day to each and every one of you here in the Steemit Community!
I am very happy that I've reached this achievement with the help of
our leaders here in our community. Now I want to share
this topic with you: Achievement 3 - The Content Etiquette.
What comes into our mind when we hear the word "PLAGIARISM"?
we all know that plagiarism is a crime, it is by owning something
or owning some work without acknowledging the real owner of the work.
So now I will discuss the topic of plagiarism and how important it is
to avoid being plagiarized.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating into your work without full acknowledgment. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed, or electronic form, is covered under this definition.

There are different types of plagiarism
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
Global plagiarism
- passing off an entire text by someone else as your own work.
Verbatim plagiarism
- directly copying someone else’s words.
Paraphrasing plagiarism
- rephrasing someone else’s ideas to present them as your own.
Patchwork plagiarism
- stitching together parts of different sources to create your text.
Self-plagiarism
- recycling your own past work.
It is very important to know about these types of plagiarism since this is our guide to avoid plagiarism.
You can avoid plagiarism by:
- Keeping track of the sources you consult in your research
- Paraphrasing or quoting from your sources (and adding your own ideas)
- Crediting the original author in an in-text citation and in your reference list
- Using a plagiarism checker before you submit

Citing your source of work is one of the important things you must do in writing an article or any work that involves writing and researching. We cannot just write and steal someone's work without acknowledging the real owner of it. because even simple plagiarized work could lead to serious problems. Keep in mind that plagiarizing is something without the originality of your work. When it comes to writing it is important to have your originality and when you get supporting thoughts of your work never forget to cite your sources even if it is just a picture or a simple sentence that is stated by others.
As I was learning and growing in this field, I have so much to learn about especially in writing content up to citing your sources and how to put references to your works all I could say is that I am happy and grateful that as I continue to pursue my passion, it would greatly help me to grow more and write different kinds of content that are unique and interesting. I'll do my very best to continue writing and to continue learning.
I would like to say thank you also to Miss @cryptokannon and Sir @juichi for helping me and for guiding me in every step in this field I'm in right now. and for our other leaders also who are silently supporting. all in all, I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette in Steemit Community. Thank you and God bless us all
