PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism refers to the act of lifting one's work, ideas in fact any piece of writing or anything one can think of which belongs to someone then you copy it as your without sourcing or crediting the author of the work is termed plagiarism

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
There are types of plagiarism which we will be looking at it. I will explain into detail the various types of plagiarism.
1 Paraphrasing Plagiarism: This is the type of plagiarism in which one rephrases the idea of another without citing the source. This type of plagiarism is not accepted and one man try as much as possible to avoid such acts. 2 Self Plagiarism: This type involves the reuse of ideas or passages from your own work submitted earlier. This type of plagiarism is moderate and not that really considerate. 3 Global Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism has to do with one taking the entire work of another person and try to use it as his own work. this is a very serious offence and one must avoid it 4 Verbatim Plagiarism: This is another type of plagiarism, this is where one directly copies a passage of text without citing the source or author of the content. 5 Mosaic Plagiarism: In this type of plagiarism, one copies ideas from different sources without citing the source where thee content is being copied from. 2
EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism has so many effects which I will be sharing with you some of the effects of it.
It leads to the failure of the course undertaken.
It leads to facing disciplinary action and suctions
It can lead to getting low grades
Lastly, It can also lead to suspension or dismissal
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Follow these four steps to ensure your paper is free from plagiarism:
1.Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
2.Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas).
3.Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
4.Use a plagiarism checker before you submit.

CITATION

Citation can be explained as a reference to the original source of any piece of information. This simply means, anytime one quotes directly or paraphrase a person's work a reference or citation should follow.
SOME TYPES OF CITATION STYLES WE HAVE
1.Modern Language Association(MLA)
2.American Psychological Association(APA)
3.Chicago/Turabian style
EXAMPLE OF A CITATION
Body's at rest or moving bodies has some sort of forces acting on it "Newton’s first law states that, if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force. CONCLUSION
It is very important we try as much as possible to always cite the information we copy from various sources of the internet or in journals, books and many more. Lets give credits to the original authors of any piece of information we copy.
