Achievement 3 by @sikandar5066 task : Content Etiquette
Hello steemit community!
I hope you all are doing well.As for me I am enjoying steemit alot.I am done with achiement no2 so today I am back with achievement task 3.so lets get to it.
Plagiarism
In our society plagiarism has become a very big problem whether it is university or any other platform. People are stealing or copying someone else's work and showing it as his work without the permission of a person. The is unethical and it is condemnable.The person who originally generated content should be praised or should be given credit of his work by putting citation.
Forms of plagiarism
The plagiarism may be in the form of
1)Verbatim plagiarism
It is used when someone copy language word for word from another source and use that language in his own paper then it is plagiarizing verbatim.source
2)Cut and paste from the internet
When you copy a whole text from someone else's work on internet and use it as your own.
3)Paraphrasing
Paraphrasing the work of others by altering a few words and changing their order, or by closely following the structure of their argument, is plagiarism if you do not give due acknowledgement to the author whose work you are using.source
As you can see I have attached a picture and some text which is not mine and I have taken it from some website.I have attached citation with it and have given credit to its owner and it is the proper way.Steemit gives people platform to earn by showing their skills and their original content so other people work should be properly cited.
The content which steemit people are producing is plagiarism free as plagiarism is forbidden on steemit platform.It is good for the people to explore their talent and show other people that how much talented they are.they will be using their brains and will work hard in order to produce quality content and to compete with other people.I have seen other people posts they add proper citation whenever other people work is taken.which I appreciate and it is a healthy practice.and the one who is not following this should be punished and face the consequences.
I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
