Achievement 3 Task| Content Etiquette

Don't be a stealer be a leader! What I feel? I would state 3 reasons why plagiarism is unethical and should not be practiced by anyone.

Firstly, it shows person's sincerity towards your work or commitment, and also because how you steal and try to benefit from others intellectual work.

Secondly, it can helps the one with plagiarized content to get into an organization a good place which he/she doesn't deserve and also not valuable for organization

Third and foremost the emotions and hard work of the one with original content doesn't gets validated.

Example: In 2006, Kaavya Viswanathan published a young adult book. It was later discovered that Viswanathan plagiarized heavily from books by Megan McCafferty, among others. Viswanathan claims that the plagiarism was unintentional. However, her book was recalled from stores and taken out of print and Viswanathan lost her contract for a second book.

In the above example that I pasted from internet but to avoid plagiarism I mentioned the source.
This is how we can avoid plagiarism.

Plagiarism has been classified further into 4
different term's

-- Direct plagiarism: This crime occurs when a writer copies the direct content with informing the original writer behind the content and also with giving proper source and naming it as your original work.
According to me it is the most powerful one. Here original writer has full rights to take action against the plagiarists.
Example: If a friend of mine copies something from my project and fails to acknowledge me.

-- Mosaic plagiarism: This is the second one which is done unintentionally. Here the plagiarist may mention the source but not in a proper way ie. Putting it under quotation mark which can easily be understood by the reader's about the source. This generally occurs when writer mentions some phrases or some lines from other content.
Example: If I mention some Proverb or a saying without giving any citation.

--Self plagiarism: This crime happens when intentionally some directly copies whole content from one place and placing it among yours. This is mostly practices by students to during assignments and exams.
Example: If I'm submitting the same task twice, knowingly.

-- Accidental plagiarism: This one generally occurs because of misinterpretation of sources or improper citation of source or also if plagiarist mistakenly forgot to mention the source.
Example: If in Steemit I'm unable to provide source to any picture taken from Google or any other site.

These were the four explainations to different types of plagiarism.

Last but not the least I would conclude by saying owing something doesn't makes you the real owner. We must always avoid practicing such kind of malpractice . And the one who comes across such kind of crime should report with any second thought's.

It really felt so good working on such assignments and on topics which we generally don't think much and give importance to. Kudos to the curators and everyone out there who are keeping alive the sense of ethics and much more through these tasks.
