Plagiarism can be defined as the act of stealing, modifying, or duplicating someone's work for one's personal use. Plagiarism I would say is one of the highest offenses or the highest offenses one can commit in the world of writing. Personally, I see it as a serious offense due to the fact that one may just steal an article that was made from another person's committed effort with just a little or no stress, which means that's just an unfair thing to do. an article. Most times the owners of these articles don't really find out if it was stolen or not. Plagiarism has different forms of which it may occur and they are:

1. Mosaic or Patchwork Plagiarism
2. Self Plagiarism
3. Incorrect Citing Plagiarism
4. Global Plagiarism
5. Paraphrasing Plagiarism
6. Verbatim Plagiarism

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

Its name is almost clear because it involves creating a content by including parts of different peoples work

SELF PLAGIARISM

This is the act of representing one's old work as brand new work. Here one can make work done a month ago to be like a day olds work.

INCORRECT CITING PLAGIARISM

This occurs when citing of a work is not done in the proper manner due to not following the proper citing procedure or lack of information about citing.

GLOBAL PLAGIARISM

If I may say this amongst all forms of plagiarism is the worst of them all. It involves claiming a content without making any changes to it.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

This is just rearranging a piece of text to make it seem as if it is yours . Bear in mind that doing this is not wrong, but it becomes wrong when you don't cite your sources.

VERBATIM PLAGIARISM

This is just putting different parts of someone's work into yours, then using the same structure and not recognizing the owner through proper citation.

Plagiarism is a very bad thing to do and we should stop at nothing to help identify it, because it helps to bring justice to original authors.
