Achievement 2 - Basic security on STEEMIT by @numanbhutta

Have a good day to all of you my friends at the steemit platform. I am really excited to work with you. Today it's my second post which is about the basic security of the steemit keys. In this post, we will discuss all these keys.

As we all know that in any work the keys play an important role. If we are unaware of the functions of the tools of this platform, we can not work here with accuracy. In the main post, some questions were asked so we will answer these questions. Now without wasting your time I want to start the article.

Question No. 01

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yes, I retrieved all my keys to steemit which I get from the steemit when I created the account. First of all, I was given a Master Password which I copy and save on my mobile and google password manager. After that, by using the master password I got other keys and I downloaded them in the form of a PDF file.

Question No. 2

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Of course, I learned and know all the functions of these keys. I learned about the newcomer's community from the different posts of new users and the post of the Admin of the newcomer's community. At first it little difficult but after some research, I totally understand the functions of these keys. So let's talk about these keys one by one.

Posting key

Posting is a very important key in the bunch of steemit keys. It is used to log in to our account. Also used for editing posts, votes, comments, and resteem to any post. We can also say that it is a basic key at steemit.

Active key

Active key is used for many works of a wallet like,

• wallet login
• power-up or power-down
• Convert SBD in steem token
• Transfer Steem or SBD to another account

Owner key

As we can understand by the name of this key. It is a very important key because it helps to change all the other keys of the steemit. So we should not lose this key in any case.

Master key

The master key is also a very important key and plays a very important role in the security of steemit keys. It can be used instead of posting and memo key and above I explained the functions of these keys.

How do you plan to keep your master password?
As we know that the master password is verry important. When I download the pdf file and I saved them in my file manger and google drive. I know that these are very important so I keep them in my diary in a written form. It was very time consuming but i have done this.
