A literal key made of metal or steel is used for opening a door in order to access something, also a literal key can be used for opening a box or a box-like related object in order to have access to confidential items which could be in the form of documents, money, jewelries, or an undisclosable written agreements. The usage of a key to access a particular thing is basically to provide security to the owner of the item, which stipulates the fact that only him or her has the authority and the physical access to the item under protection, as long as he or she holds the key at all times. The steemit platform possesses various forms of keys designated to each users or members of this wonderful community, allowing them to protect and secure their account Info's and not allowing important or confidential information to fall in the hands of a third party or unauthorized users. Every user or member is expected to have full knowledge as well as understanding of each keys to his or her account on the steemit platform. Furthermore, the purpose of this post is to prove to the administrators of the steemit platform that I being a member of this wonderful community, personally have full knowledge of the various keys to my account as well as their purposes and functions. First and foremost, the master key is the most important key, meant to never be shared with any unauthorized third party. The master key is therefore important, because with it, I can access other keys like my:

• Posting Key
• Active Key
• Owner Key
• Memo Key

I am fully aware that all the other keys, including the Owner Key, are generated using my Master Password. When i am undergoing account recovery, that is the only time i should actually use my master password; otherwise, i should be retrieving it from your secure storage. Below is an explanation of the purpose and function of the various steemit keys;

POSTING KEY: This feature enables accounts to follow or mute other accounts, as well as to post, edit, vote, and resteem. The majority of users ought to be using the posting key to log into Steemit each day. A limited posting key exists to limit the damage that a compromised account key could cause because the more you use your password or key, the more likely it is that it will be compromised.
