## Hello Everybody

I did my achievement 1 last month and i am proceeding to achievement 2 which is about basic security in Steem.

I joined Steemit about a month ago.

## QUESTION 1

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes i have and i have them saved on my google drive.

## Question 2

Do you know each of these keys and their functions and restrictions?

Yes, I know the keys, their functions and restrictions.

They include:

Posting key

Active key

Owner key

Memo key

Public key

## Posting key

It is used to log in to apps such as Steemit.com and perform social actions such as posting, commenting, and

voting.

## Active Key

It is Used for monetary and wallet related actions, such as transferring tokens or powering STEEM up and down

## Owner Key

This key is used to reset all your other keys. It is recommended to keep it offline at all times. If your account is compromised, use this key to recover it within 30 days.

## Memo Key

Memo key is used for transfer of Steem, SBD or Trx to any other person.

It is used to decrypt private transfer memos.

## Public key

This keys are associated with usernames and are used to encrypt and verify messages.

They are not required for login

## Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password safe?

Like i said earlier, i have uploaded it to my google drive.

## Question 4

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes i do

I will go to my wallet

After converting my SBD to Steem

I will click on the STEEM and i will get a dropdown box

I will click on transfer

Then I will add the amount I want to transfer.

Then add the name of the account to which i want to transfer my tokens to.

I will add my memo key, and then next

I will comfirm and it is done

## QUESTION 5

How do i power up my Steem

Still on my wallet page

I will click on steem

A drop down appears

I will click on power up

I will enter the amount to power up

Then click OK and it is also done
