Understanding the primary security on Steem 🔐 || Achievement #2

Assalamu Alaikum steemit members~ I'm here again, after completing the achievement #1 about introducing myself. It went quite well, so now I'm going to achieve my next task about the primary security of this platform.

So, let's talk about the keys used on this platform in the disclosure that was provided to us as a PDF file while creating the account. As a steemit member, we should know about all the functions of the keys and how to use them, to prevent any type of cyber crime.

Let's start with the several keys which each of us have;

1. THE MASTER PASSWORD
   As we already know that, passwords provide the first line of defense against unauthorized access to your computer and personal information. A password is a very important key to gain admission to a place or a platform. There is a "Master Password" provided to you in that PDF file when you first sign up and you should never share it with anyone, so the most effectual way to keep your account safe is that password should be kept protected since it helps us to initiate other keys of the account and it should not be sent to anyone as it easily gives access to your account. You can generate another password to keep your security documents safe namely as, dropbox or a google drive or you can even write them on your notepad.

1. PRIVATE POSTING KEY
   This is the basic key that gives access to us for posting, commenting, voting up or down, editing or following someone. We use this key to log in to our accounts and enjoy steemit.

2. THE MEMO KEY
   This key is commonly used to decode the memos while the funds are transferred from other crypto wallets to your wallet. Any inaccurate practice of this key can cause us to loose money and other useful and valuable details.

3. THE PRIVATE OWNER KEY
   This key is used for rebooting all of your other keys and passwords. We can also recover accounts within 30 days if they are hacked.

Never share these keys with anyone since they are the most important assets of your account.

I have secured all of the passwords and keys i explained above, in my google drive and i have also written them in my personal diary so i can have access to my account whenever and wherever i want.
So this was it, about the basic security of steemit.

There are several steps which need to be done, in order to transfer the steem tokens.

Step#1
So for the first step, you need to log in to your steemit wallet by using your private active key.

Step#2
When the page is loaded, you need to click on the tiny arrow beside the "Steem balance" and a drop-down menu will open. Click on the first option "Transfer", then a pop up will appear, after that, you need to put in the required details.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?

So basically, powering up means transforming the steem into "Steem Power". For this to be done, follow these simple steps.

Step#1
Log in simply by using your private active key.

Step#2
Wait until the page is loaded, you'll see the steem balance and right beside it, there will be a small arrow, click on that first and a drop-down menu will be opened. Click on "Power Up" and then the process will be done.
