WHAT IS PLAGARISM?

Plagiarism means is an act using someone else's or copy and paste someone else's work without giving them proper credit. It could be or involves using words, ideas without citing it correctly. In others word it call a work of fraud. And this can happen in many different contexts.

"All of the following are considered plagiarism:
turning in someone else's work as your own.
copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit.
failing to put a quotation in quotation marks.
giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation.
changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit.
copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work, whether you give credit or not. (see our section on "fair use" rules)" Source

Plagiarism usually happen in academic by copying and paste it to our own assignment without mention or giving credit to the owner. But it can be happen in professional settings such as business world. Without markdown, ("") or quoting the phrases that you get or copy and paste to avoid plagiarizing. Not to mention that you just pass it right away without feeling guilty. But sometimes it happen accidentally and you don't know about it or carelessness.

TYPES OF PLAGARISM:
There is various types of plagiarism, that you might encounter.

"Global Plagiarism(Plagiarizing an entire text). Patchwork(Copying phrases, ideas or else and make it as one content of yours). Self-plagiarism(recycling your own previous work that you've submitted). Incremental plagiarism(inserting a small amount of plagiarized content in a mostly original text."

HOW TO AVOID PLAGARISM:
If you doing some paper work or research and you don't want to be labeled as plagiarism, then you have to be really careful about what information that you've collect or mentioning in your paper work.

"Follow these four steps to ensure your paper is free from plagiarism:
Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas).
Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
Use a plagiarism checker before you submit." Source

That is the basic rules to care to avoid plagiarism. Always cite the information that you have obtained from any source or site. Always keep tracking your work/paper work from the very beginning. If you paraphrase or quoting any idea from any source, remember to cite the idea and add on your idea and explanation to make sure you really understand. Make sure make a reference list for any source that you have obtained the information and not forget to cite credit to the author. Make sure before submitting your paper work, do run it through the plagiarism checker. So you can submitting your paper without do plagiarism.
