What is Plagiarism:

The term "plagiarism" refer to a specific offence, or the deliberate refusal to acknowledge a particular source.Plagiarism is the uncredited use of another person words, ideas, or works. In the academic community, plagiarism is regarded as a type of theft and dishonesty . The word "plagiarism" is derived from the Latin word for "kidnapper."

Types of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism can be done in different types .I'll explain one by one .

•Complete plagiarism:

The most severe type of plagiarism is complete plagiarism. This type of plagiarism involves someone totally rewriting someone essay, article, photograph, etc and passing it as their own. This type of plagiarism is comparable to stealing or identity theft.

•Self Plagiarism

Duplicating some one work falls under this category of plagiarism. Auto-plagiarism is another name for it. It happens when a person takes a few of his own words from a published work in another one.

•Accidental Plagiarism:

This form of plagiarism frequently results from the ignorance. When we leave the research paper as is without knowing how to properly ,paraphrase, reference, and quote it, we unintentionally commit plagiarism.

•Source based Plagiarism:

Source-based plagiarism is when someone offers incorrect references that don't exist or don't have anything to do with the work. Another type of source-based plagiarism is the fabrication or falsification of data. Falsification and fabrication of data involve faking or presenting inaccurate Data.

How can we avoid Plagiarism:

There are some ways which help to avoid plagiarism.
•always provide correct references
•always give credit to person whose data you are using
•try to not copy another's work develop your self ideas and thoughts
•always take permission from someone whose videos photos or text you are using
•always keep in mind that plagiarism is unethical

Citation:

The only way to use someone else's work without committing plagiarism is to provide credit to the original author by acknowledging sources this is called citation.
Citations are very beneficial for anyone who wants to learn more about your ideas and where they came from. Correct citation will prevent you from being blamed for mistakes of others.
Citing sources enhances your work by providing outside backing for your views.

For example:

A "citation" is the way you tell your readers that certain material in your work came from another source.
