Plagiarism is
"the practice of taking some one else work or ideas and passing them off as one's own".
According to Wikipedia it is the "representation of another's language, thought, ideas or expressions as one's own original works".

Types of Plagiarism:
Mosaic or Patchwairk Plagiarism: In this type of Plagiarism the plagiarized material is interwoven with many different sources including the writers own idea and perspective. This type can be done from one or several sources. The writer may try to change up the sentence structure or use synonyms to make seem original.

Paraphrasing or Incremental Plagiarism. It is when the copied work is not mixed in with new concepts or research. When paraphrasing the original idea in your words, the borrowed material stays the same throughout the new piece.

Complete Plagiarism occurs when someone tries to submit an entire research paper as their own without proper attribution eg coping and and pasting the original work in it's exact words.

Self Plagiarism is when a writer copied its own writing whether intentional or not.

Accidental Plagiarism it is when some one copies another's writing without Citing their source properly or copied it unintentional.

Source Based Plagiarism. This is refers when a writer quotes a non-existing or in correct source.

Consequences Of Plagiarism.

Plagiarism is a serious offense, it is unethical and damages the reputation of the plagiarist.
It prevents the person from pushing to create something truly unique and there will be low or no creativity.
The quality of content of the writer will be poor, also in Steemit the person might be sanctioned by the Community Representative, Admin or Greeters. The career of the plagiarist will be damaged, and personal and professional reputation will be affected.

In most cases the consequences is a potential lawsuit or even jail term.

To avoid plagiarism, it is best to thoroughly document the sources and quatations. There are many citations which can be used. One of them that is common:
Eg. APA - (American Psychological Association). In this type of citation the Author's Surname, Initial(s), Date Published, Title of the Source, Location of Publisher, URL retrieved from if source is from online. source-https://libguides.murdoch.edu.au/APA/examples.

"I have read and understood the Content Etiquette on steemit Community and Will do my best to embrace them" at the end of this task.
