Achievement 2: Task Basic security on steem

Hello everyone, It’s your new friend @idbaby1. I’m done with achievement 1 and I’m presenting my achievement 2.

Question 1:Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Sure I have retrieved my keys the very day I created the steemit account. And since I didn’t have a pdf on my phone, I went as far as downloading it so as to save a special folder because of how important the keys are.

Question 2: Do you know each keys functions and restrictions?

I know each and every keys functions and how their restrictions are being applied. As a newcomer and every other newcomers out there need to know how these keys works in other for it to be easier for them to make use of it properly.

Question 3:How can you keep your master passwords?

Well, They are various ways I can store them. I actually have a note pad on my phone which I can store it there. I will still go as far as storing it in my email account and of course, it’s already stock to my head never to forget. It’s something very important which shouldn’t be treated with less care or concern. And I’m quite sure by using those ways stated above, I believe my master password will be safer for later use.

Posting key

This is one of the important keys in steemit which is used for logging into an account on a daily basis. Not only that. It also allows account to make various post, comment, edit, vote and vise versa. However, it is also used to mute other accounts.
So as a steemit user, I will be making use of this key so as to log into my account on a daily basis.

Private active key

This particular key is the active and it’s used generally for transactions such as funds transfers, it gives people access to vote and it can also be used for placing orders from markets. It gives users the access to convert steem into steem power.

Owner key

Owner key is part of the paramount key but it is not often used like the post key and it also used when necessary.And also it’s power is really good which can change an account key. It is a key that is mostly needed to retrieve or recover an account so that they won’t be difficulty or struggle for it. I actually know there’s keys are needed and when to make good use of them at the appropriate time.

Memo key

This is one of the keys responsible transactions, encryption and decryption. when transactions is being needed can actually make use it to transfer funds.

Master key

Master key is a key that can be used to either change other keys nor recover my account. This key should be taken with utmost care and it should be kept very safe so as to prevent it from hackers into getting access to it. Because if they get access to my account, I will loose access into it therefore damaging my account.

Question 4: Do you know to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Sure I know how to transfer steem token. I will be listing the steps on how to do it.

Step 1: on my profile, I click on the wallet and login.

Step 2: from my wallet, then I click on the STEEM and make the transfer.

Step 3: In this stage, I will then fill up the transaction details that are required then I click on the NEXT button so that my transaction can be confirmed and lastly I click on OK to process the transactions.

Step 4: At this point I approved the transaction via putting in my private key.

Question 5:Do you know to do power up your steem?

Step 2:you click on the drop down menu, you’ll see the power up, then you tap on it.

Step 3: at the end I put in the amount I want to power up.

You've shown proficient knowledge of this task and as such verified. Keep all your keys safe, don't store in your head but safe it in hard copy too, and don't share your keys with anyone. You may move to the next achievement task #3 at your convenience.
