PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is the practice of taking content from other's post and writtings and using it on your site as your own work or as crafted by your own blog. Taking content or text of another person or from another blog. Making use of another person's content and without offering credit to the source.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
There are a number of plagiarism which we will be looking at. I will explain into details the various plagiarism types.
Paraphrasing Plagiarism

This is the type of plagiarism in which one rewrites the idea or content of another without citing. This type of plagiarism is not appropriate so one should try to avoid such acts.

                              Self Plagiarism

This type occurs when one reuses the ideas or contents from one's own work submitted earlier. This type of plagiarism is moderate and not that really considerate.

                     Global Plagiarism

In this type of plagiarism, one takes the entire work or content of someone and label it as his own work. This type is a serious offence and should be avoided.

                 Verbatim Plagiarism

This is another type of plagiarism, where one directly duplicates a content of text without citing the source or author of the content.

                   Mosaic Plagiarism

In this type of plagiarism, one copies text from different sources without citing the source where the content is being copied from.

               The effects of plagiarism
  1. It brings about failure

  2. It leads to laziness in an individual

  3. It can lead to imprisonment

  4. It leads to suspension

  5. It leads to low grades in work.

                              Citation

Citation simply means making it known to readers that some ideas or content from your work are not from you but different sources.
Thus acknowledging the owners of certain ideas one took from different sources.

What is considered plagiarized when images,
                  videos, and music are used?

It would be regarded as counterfeiting if you use images, recordings, or music in your work without citing the source or getting the go ahead from the owner. Using photographs, videos, or music without citing may be considered literary theft:

It is counterfeiting if you duplicate a photograph and use it in your work without giving credit to the original creator.

If one's music is similar to or identical to a previously recorded music in part or entirely.
Using parts of recordings without being given the go ahead or crediting the craftsman in your own film.

For playing legally covered music without citing the source.

Copyright Plagiarism can be explained as regenerating any picture with a similar set-up or a similar concept or idea.

Another case of literary theft is when you use a protected music in your movie without the owner's permission.

Illegal publication of any copyrighted material or content would be seen as a crime, since it will be called literary theft.

How would I Check for Plagiarism?

Checking for Plagiarism is simple. There are a number of paid and free online Plagiarism application that can help you check for plagiarism if there is a case of copyright infringement in your work or not. In any case, Copy leaks accomplishes this work in the most ideal manner.

You need to send your work to the Plagiarism tool. The tool will find the degree of copyright infringement, and it will as well seperate the counterfeited content for you. Below is a site you can use to check you contents for Plagiarism and screenshots on how to use it.

Conclusion
Plagiarism is a bad practice and we all must avoid it. It is very important we cite the ideas which are not ours, in other words giving credit and acknowledgement to the original owner.

I can say I have read and understood this steemit etiquette on the steemit community and therefore I would try my best to embrace them.
