Hi There!

I am Renata Dotta and I live in the most important city in Brazil: São Paulo, capital of the state of São Paulo in the southeast of the biggest country in South America.

I am 51 years old, live with my teenager son, Cauã, adopted when he was 3. We have a nice life here, although not easy.
Each other week my mother comes to live with us. She is a 85-year-old diabetic lady, very stubborn, by the way. She is not allowed to eatsugar, and guess what she eats? Yes, sugar! Candies, cakes and bread.

So, we have to hide everything she cannot eat….I´s such an operationb the day she arrives…but I love her and take care of her.

During the pandemic I lost my job and started to do different part-time jobs, such as private classes, selling cosmetics and developed my passion for the pottery.

I have been studying pottery since 2018, and although I have lots to learn, I have enjoyed a lot working with clay. It´s so powerful how can clay - “a stiff, sticky fine-grained earth, typically yellow, red, or bluish-gray in color and often forming an impermeable layer in the soil. It can be molded when wet, and is dried and baked to make bricks, pottery, and ceramics.” – can be molded and dried, than baked in a kiln and become ceramics. It´s poetry: earth, water, air and fire!

It´s such an opportunity to create on steemit!

The name CERENATA means Ceramic made by Renata, but cerenata has the same sound in Portuguese as serenade, which is serenata. Although the sound is the same, the first letter is different. Cerenata is a proper name, no meaning in Portuguese.

As you know, serenade is a piece of music sung or played in the open air, typically by a man at night under the window of his lover. Poetry again! Amazing!

Besides doing pottery, I like to walk on the beach, barefoot, warm sun and a nice wind. My city has no beaches, but they are pretty close.

The mountains and the fields make me smile too. As a Sagittarian, the adventures please me a lot! I have travelled to many places around the world but I still have a long, very long list of places to go. Petra is a dream that I want to live as soon as possible.

I love to spend my time with my little boy… did I say little? Well, he is almost 13, hates to study and loves to talk to people. Creative and very sweet, he bravely faces abandonment and i support him by providing therapeutic treatments and lots of love! His most sensitive organ of the body is his mobile….When I need to take his mobile away for him, for any punishment, he feels such a pain that he thinks he is gonna die. Incredibly he survives…
