Achievement 3 Task Content Etiquette by @hanshar
Hello Friends,
As I mentioned before Steemit is a platform that allows us to publish content as long as it is original and if it is not we must cite the source and in one way or another make it clear that said content is not of our authorship. Steemit promotes Originality
Type Of Plagiarism
Mosaic or patchwork plagiarism
With this type of plagiarism, the work of someone else is simply paraphrased without proper citation. It’s often difficult to detect because the plagiarized material is interwoven with many different sources, including the writer’s own ideas and perspective. SOURCE
Paraphrasing plagiarism
Paraphrasing, or incremental plagiarism, is the most common type of plagiarism. It’s similar to the mosaic plagiarism style mentioned above. However, the difference is that the copied work isn’t mixed in with new concepts and research. When you paraphrase the original idea in your own words, the borrowed material stays the same throughout the new piece. SOURCE
Complete plagiarism
Complete plagiarism is more common in academic writing than in content marketing or other types of online writing. This type of plagiarism occurs when someone tries to submit an entire research paper as their own without proper attribution. SOURCE
Self-plagiarism
Also known as auto-plagiarism, self-plagiarism happens when you copy your own writing, whether intentional or not. Often the person in a self-plagiarism incident is summarizing or repurposing their own work instead of writing a whole new piece from scratch on the same topic. SOURCE
When producing information for this platform we must worry about NEVER using any that belongs to someone else, of course we are not know-it-alls and we do not know about everything that happens in the world and for that reason we have to investigate or read about different topics to in some cases opine or form an opinion, the important thing is that we are responsible and always show from where we are getting the information.
In wikipedia you see the concept of Originality source
"Originality is the aspect of created or invented works as being new or novel, and thus reproductions, clones, forgeries, or derivative works. An original work is one not received from others nor one copied from or based upon the work of others. It is a work created with a unique style and substance"
Understanding the concept we are clear that we must use images and writings that are created or produced by us to avoid problems in Steemit and there is also a team of people who are responsible for verifying that no one cheats and tries to place some information copied and pasted and made by another person.
It is super important to consolidate this understanding and avoid as much as possible any attempt at plagiarism since in this platform it is NOT allowed.
